Becoming present is an idea that has been expressed by many gurus and philosophers, mystics and messiah for as long as man has been looking to find meaning in our life. This understanding helps you to align with your own truest nature. The search within can only be done in the present for that is where you truly reside. When we clutter our minds with anticipation, expectation, remorse, or guilt we cut ourselves off from where we are and what we are doing. This leaves us clouded and disconnected from the beauty which enriches our life all around us.
The art of being is simply living instead of doing, being instead of expecting. Above all else, experiencing joy within our moments allows us to experience the love of self.
“The thought that you should be doing something more is a distraction. When you are fully present with what you are doing, now becomes more than more.” ~ Alan Cohen
